Discover Art in Context: Private Gallery Tours at Tate Modern for Children Sunday 12th October | 11:00 - 12:30pm | 10 years + Unlock the magic of art with your child through an exclusive, engaging tour of Tate Modern led by our tutor Elspeth. Designed for small, intimate groups, this experience nurtures young minds and sparks creativity as they explore captivating works in modern and contemporary art. Art Now: How We Got Here This tour explores how contemporary art styles developed. Children will see how artists first learn fine art rules, then push, test, and break them to create bold new works with artistic freedom. They will keep sketchbooks to record discoveries, building a personal response to what they encounter. Elspeth ensures the experience is child-focused, making complex ideas accessible and exciting. Through discussion and interactive exploration, children gain a deeper understanding of the artworks, their history, and the techniques used. In this welcoming setting, your child will feel encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with art on a personal level—making the experience both educational and inspiring. Key Benefits: Expert guidance for children with an engaging, age-appropriate style. Small group sizes that create a supportive learning environment.
