Professional filmmakers, documentary makers, and animators use storyboards to plan out their scenes, and now you will too! You’ll be guided through some amazing watercolour and ink techniques, and together we'll tell a story through vibrant artworks, bringing stories to life on paper!
Exploring the Colour Palette of Artist Eric Ravilious
Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August | 2 sessions
9.30 - 11.00am | Live On Zoom
Ages: 9 - 15 years
Join us for an exciting workshop where we'll dive into the world of Eric Ravilious, a master of watercolour painting! Ravilious was known for his incredible use of colour, paint application, and design. Using just a basic palette of standard colours, he created some of the most dynamic and inventive watercolour landscapes of the early 20th century. In this workshop, children will learn about Ravilious' techniques and create their own beautiful landscapes. We'll explore his famous 'Train Landscape,' which depicts an empty interior of a third-class carriage as the train passes the Westbury White Horse, a chalk hill figure found on the edge of the Bratton Downs in Wiltshire.
