Nature & Wildlife Inspired Art Birds & Butterflies – Holiday Art Workshop for Ages 8+ Join us this holiday for a joyful two-day art workshop inspired by the beauty of birds and butterflies, designed especially for children aged 8 and up. In this technique-based course, young artists will explore the natural world through close observation and imaginative mark-making. We’ll begin by studying the delicate forms, patterns, and colours found in feathers and wings, with guided drawing exercises that build confidence and accuracy. From there, children will be encouraged to apply their skills creatively using a range of available materials to bring their chosen subject to life. What to Expect Over two sessions, students will: - Practise drawing birds and butterflies through step-by-step demonstrations and observation. - Explore shape, symmetry, and proportion to build confident, expressive line work. - Learn techniques for adding texture, pattern, and fine detail. - Experiment with colour blending and layering. - Create a final piece that celebrates the natural world. This workshop is perfect for young artists who enjoy working with techniques and materials in new ways, while deepening their appreciation of nature through focused, hands-on artmaking. Skill Level Tailored for ages 8+, with a focus on developing strong foundational skills and encouraging individual artistic growth.
