8+ Online Art Classes Wednesday's : 5:30 - 6:30pm Tutor : Joella 17th April - 22nd May (6 sessions) 1 Week Break 5th June - 3rd July (5 sessions) ----------------------------------------- PROJECT: In this online course which will be held over two terms, we will initially focus on the traditional portrait grid drawing method, with a slight twist. By challenging and altering the conventional approach, we will explore transforming a well established method into a contemporary style. In the next part of the term, we will focus on creating self portraits using cardboard. By examining our facial features, identifying our unique characteristics, and translating them into a cardboard 3D collage. Throughout the two terms, we will develope our pencil skills to enhance our sketching abilities and learn how to use them to show form and shading. We will also use colouring pencils to explore the emotional impact of colours within artwork. We shall be exploring artists like Chuck Close, Henri Matisse and Anya Kielar. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR: Anyone between the ages of 8-14yrs who would love to expand and gain more experience and knowledge in art. HOW DOES IT WORK? - These classes are live and held on the platform zoom, you will need a laptop or tablet to access this. - Step by step guidance and demonstrations, seeing everything that is being created. We would love for everyone to have their camera and microphone on so we can all chat throughout. - Children are encouraged to get involved however they are welcome to chat through the chat box if they feel more comfortable. - Our online classes also offer a fantastic opportunity for children to connect with fellow young artists. Although being in a virtual setting, they can form friendships, interact, and proudly share their incredible creations with one another. Materials: Term 1 Pencil Rubber Sharpener Sketchbook paper or sketchbook A4 size Ruler Colouring pencils
