Service Description

In our summer holiday studio classes, each set of workshops explores a different theme, so children are welcome to join as many sessions as they like throughout the holidays. Themes may include animals, artists, landscapes, and botanicals, offering a varied and engaging creative experience. Each workshop runs across two morning sessions (10:00am – 12:30pm), allowing children time to develop their ideas and create a more considered final piece. Children will develop their drawing skills by learning how to break subjects down into simple shapes and build their work step by step with tutor guidance. This structured approach helps build confidence in their independent drawing while strengthening their understanding of how images are constructed. We introduce artist influences to inspire observation, mark-making, and creative interpretation. Children will work with a range of materials, adding colour and texture while developing core artistic techniques in a supportive studio environment. What to bring A drink and small nut-free snack. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
