Service Description

Drawing from History: Inspired by the National Gallery This summer, young artists are invited to step into the world of classical art in a three-session workshop inspired by the historical masterpieces of the National Gallery. Over the course of the sessions, children will explore drawing techniques while studying figures, scenes, and striking details from some of the gallery’s most iconic paintings. They’ll learn how to observe and sketch from reproductions, experiment with mark-making and shading, and develop their own creative responses to the artworks. Using a variety of materials, children will build confidence and discover how artists of the past brought their subjects to life.
