Service Description

This summer, we’ll be taking inspiration from artworks in the Tate collection to create bold and expressive acrylic paintings. Across the workshop, children will explore how artists use colour, composition, texture, and brushwork to capture the feeling of summer. Looking at a range of modern and contemporary artworks, and creating a detailed study. Working with acrylic paint, children will experiment with layering, colour mixing, blending, and mark-making techniques to create a vibrant final piece inspired by the season. The class is designed to encourage both creativity and observation, while helping children build confidence in painting within a supportive studio environment. Who Can Join? This class is designed for older children, with a focus on developing more advanced skills in painting and composition. What to Bring A bottle of water and a small nut-free snack.
