In his late sixties, when ill health prevented Matisse from painting, he began to cut into painted paper with scissors to make drafts for a number of commissions. In time, Matisse chose cutouts over painting: he had invented a new medium of expression.​

We have a wide range of still life objects at the studio to base this project. Great for little ones dexterity.

We plan each session closely with you to ensure it is tailored to each individual family’s needs and requirements. We offer a wide range of activities, from; lino, drypoint, chine-cole and mono printmaking.

You may already have a idea of what you would like to do together. Some families have joined us to print presents for mums birthday, others have joined us to create a family portrait. Whatever the project, it's sure to be a creative experience you will remember.
