Service Description

Online Workshop: Exploring Portraiture in 2 Sessions ----------------------- Join our online workshop and take your first step into the world of portraiture. In this two session workshop, we will: -- Practice closely observing portraits -- Identify different portrait elements, such as clothing, expression, pose, objects, background and colour. -- Discover how artists use these elements to express mood, feelings, and ideas in portraits. -- Learn about the past through portraits. We will be exploring different mediums, mainly pencil, pen, and colouring pencils. You are welcome to bring other art materials as there will be time to explore them during the workshop. During the first session, we will explore various techniques, learn about portraiture, and create small studies. The session will be led by the teacher, with the whole group progressing together. The teacher will provide demonstrations along the way. In the second session, we will put our knowledge into practice. Please bring a face on portrait of yourself or someone you find interesting. We will draw a portrait individually but with step by step guidance to help you along the way. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR: We welcome all ages of children from 7 years.
