Famous Artists & Their Styles | Andy Warhol: Bold Brands & Everyday Objects Holiday Art Workshop for Ages 8+ Join us this holiday for a vibrant two-day art workshop designed especially for children aged 8 and up. In this exciting, technique-led session, young artists will explore the colourful world of Andy Warhol, one of the leading figures of the Pop Art movement. Taking inspiration from Warhol’s iconic use of bold colour, repeated imagery, and branded household items, students will create their own contemporary still life artworks using drawing, composition, and mixed media techniques. From soup cans to cereal boxes, this workshop encourages a fresh and playful look at everyday objects through a creative lens. What to Expect Over two inspiring sessions, students will: - Discover Warhol’s approach to Pop Art and how he turned familiar objects into striking works of art. - Explore line, shape, and colour through sketching branded and household items from observation. - Learn techniques in composition, repetition, and simplification to create bold visual impact. Produce artwork that reflects Warhol’s style while expressing their own artistic voice. This workshop introduces children to the exciting world of contemporary art history, while developing observational skills, design confidence, and an eye for pattern and contrast. Skill Level Tailored for ages 8+, with a focus on developing core drawing skills, creative confidence, and an understanding of artistic style. What to Bring A nut-free snack and bottle of water Old clothes or an apron – creativity can get messy! Session Schedule This is a two-day course, running on consecutive days during the school holidays. Spaces are limited to ensure individual attention – early booking is recommended.
