Service Description

Drypoint Printmaking Workshop Spring Theme This workshop introduces children to the fascinating world of drypoint etching, where they will learn how to design, refine, and translate an image into a printed artwork. Through guided instruction, they will explore mark-making techniques to create texture and depth, before etching their designs onto a drypoint plate. Participants will then learn how to ink and wipe their plates to achieve different effects before using our traditional printing press, Olive, to bring their creations to life. This process will help them understand how an initial drawing or idea is transformed through printmaking, offering a new perspective on artistic composition and technique. By the end of the workshop, each child will have created a series of prints to take home, gaining valuable experience in image translation, composition, and printmaking methods. This workshop is ideal for children looking to develop their artistic skills, experiment with new techniques, and build confidence in a creative setting.
