Watercolour & Ink Techniques for Young Artists This summer, young artists are invited to dive into the vibrant world of watercolour and ink in a two-session workshop that celebrates fluidity, detail, and creative exploration. Designed for children who enjoy experimenting with how colour moves and interacts on the page, this workshop offers an inspiring introduction to layered washes, smooth gradients, and expressive ink detailing. Over the two sessions, participants will learn how to work with water to build transparent colour layers, control gradients for smooth transitions, and apply ink to create contrast, definition, and detail. They’ll be encouraged to experiment, observe how pigments behave, and develop their own approach to combining these mediums effectively. This workshop is perfect for children who enjoy exploring new techniques, observing subtle details, and gaining confidence with materials in a relaxed, supportive environment. With guidance and space to play, each young artist will leave with a set of skills and a personal artwork showcasing their unique creative voice. Spaces are limited – early booking is recommended.
