Our holiday workshops run Monday - Friday during school holidays and half terms, and cover a wide range of skills and techniques, ensuring something fun and rewarding for everyone! We begin with painting or drawing, and after a well deserved snack break, we move onto a 3D option which could be clay, sewing or more drawing, depending on the child's preference. These workshops are designed to encourage your child’s artistic expression, develop a foundation of art techniques, and of course be lots of fun!
Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st May 2019
9+ Print and Mark making
1:00 - 4:00pm | £40
These workshops focus on introducing your child to different techniques within printmaking, including lino, drypoint, chine-colle and mono printmaking. If your child has a passion for art and would like to explore a different medium, perhaps something that isn’t offered at school, then look no further, these workshops are perfect for expanding skills in a creative atmosphere with like minded peers. They’ll be guided each step of the way, helping to them to delve deeper into the wonderful world of printmaking. Not only is printmaking lots of fun, but it makes a fantastic addition to any portfolio.
Technique is the foundation of any art form and these sessions will look at one specific method at a time, such as feathering, stippling or resist. These focussed technique classes are more detailed and offer the opportunity to build an exciting and varied portfolio. Not only will your child go home with a completed piece of artwork, but they’ll leave with knowledge of the technique and a new understanding of an artist who mastered it.
